Latest Citrus Heights police logs include an arrest made at a McDonald’s bathroom, vehicle theft at an apartment on Sunrise Boulevard, reports of transient trouble, and other incidents.
The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins, from March 24 to March 30, 2017:
March 29, 2017: Total of 40 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 13 disturbance-related, 2 homeless-related, 1 burglary, 1 petty theft, 2 assault reports, 4 reports of domestic violence.
6:39 a.m., Loitering, McDonald’s at Madison/Sunrise. A man was reportedly sleeping in a restroom stall for over an hour. According to the report, the man responded to questions before going back to sleep. Disposition listed: “Arrest.”
8:44 a.m., Verbal disturbance, Pat Henry’s Auto Repair on Auburn Boulevard. A man was reportedly hiding near a cluster of bushes and would step out to approach women passing by. Disposition listed: “Unable to locate.”
4:20 p.m., Domestic violence, Autumn Ridge Apartments on Desimone Lane. A man told police that his girlfriend had hit him and had thrown a beer bottle at his head, causing him to bleed. An ambulance was declined, and there were no weapons or other residents reported in the apartment. The girlfriend had allegedly been drinking and possibly was on drugs. She later left the apartment and told a maintenance employee that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Disposition listed: “Arrest.”
March 28, 2017: Total of 65 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 9 disturbance-related, 11 homeless-related, 6 burglaries, 5 petty thefts, 9 collisions, 8 assaults reports, 1 stolen vehicle reported.
9:48 a.m., Assault, Advent Lutheran Church on San Juan Avenue. A transient was reportedly in a physical altercation with a church employee outside the food closet operating at the location. No weapons were involved. Disposition listed: “Advised.”
11:43 a.m., Verbal disturbance, Zenith Drive. A woman said she had put a couch out in front of her house for someone to take for free, but a homeless man decided to sleep on the couch. When he was asked to move, he reportedly caused some kind of verbal disturbance with the resident. Disposition listed: “Gone on arrival.”
4:27 p.m., Grand theft, Castleberry Circle. Approximately $3,500-$5,000 of jewelry was reported missing on Castleberry Circle, near Whyte Avenue. The reporting party told police a roommate was believed to be the culprit. Disposition listed: “Report taken.”
March 27, 2017: Total of 46 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 21 disturbance-related, 6 burglaries, 2 stolen vehicle reports, 4 collisions, 4 petty thefts, and 1 homeless related.
8:08 a.m., Stolen vehicle, Arborelle Apartments on Sunrise Blvd. A black 1997 Honda Civic had reportedly been stolen overnight from the apartment complex. Police were advised that the owner had “lost some of his keys earlier.” No suspect information was known. Disposition listed: “Report taken.”
11:36 a.m., Burglary, Rosswood Drive. A tool box was reported stolen from an unlocked backyard shed “during last three days.” Police were advised that a “subject had to jump fence to get to shed.” Disposition listed: “Report taken.”
4:52 p.m., Verbal disturbance, Meadows Apartments on Greenback Lane. A woman told police her neighbor had “knocked twice on her door to invite her to her party” and said the conversation had “become very confrontational and verbal.” The caller described the other person as a man in his 30’s who was wearing “women’s clothing” and was possibly drunk or had mental health problems. Disposition listed: “Advised.”
