Fox40: Citrus Heights couple trapped in Virgin Islands after Hurricane Irma strikes
A couple from Citrus Heights who were visiting the Virgin Islands are currently stranded without power and cellphone service after Hurricane Irma hit the island they were on, according to a Fox 40 news report on Saturday. Two of the couple’s grown children, Kenny and Samantha Tullgren, told the TV station they know their parents had survived, but with communication lines down, they don’t know anything more.
“We are just kind of worried, not only for our own family, but everyone else out there,” Kenny Tullgren told Fox 40. “We just want to do as much as we can to get the word out there that it has affected a lot more people than you would think.” Irma, a category 4 hurricane, is expected to hit Florida this weekend.
