The current election process has affirmed my faith in my fellow citizens. As opposed to “making America great” as in the red-lining, WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants) dominated and the religious right era I grew up in, we are becoming the melting pot America was supposed to be.
This time, however, we are really “melting” and attempting to become a nation of Americans and not the tribal groups that have separated us since a certain individual began tweeting ignorant rants on daily basis. A great America is inclusive. All ideas and thoughts have equal merit, however, so do the people that have them.
