The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018. Additional logs are linked below.
Tuesday, December 4, 2018: Total of 72 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 30 calls regarding suspicious activities, 13 disturbance-related, 6 homeless/transient-related, 1 shoplifting incident, no grand thefts or petty thefts, 3 burglaries, 2 assault reports, 4 collisions, 2 stolen vehicles and 1 report of domestic violence.
1:31 a.m., Suspicious Vehicle, C & C Marine on Auburn Blvd. Officer-initiated activity was listed involving a vehicle facing the wrong way on the 7800 block of Auburn Boulevard, with the vehicle missing the front “rim assembly” on the driver’s side.
10:24 a.m., Burglary, Stonehand Ave. One or more suspects reportedly made entry to a residence on a sidestreet near Antelope Road and Saybrook Drive. Entry was made by kicking in a garage door sometime during the night. Multiple items were reported stolen.
11:49 a.m. Reckless Driving, Patton/Watson. Police were requested to do an area check for a Cadillac Escalade that reportedly had been speeding and running through the stop sign at Patton Avenue and Watson Way “every weekday morning.”
12:57 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sunrise Blvd. Police were notified that a man was yelling at someone inside a massage establishment on Sunrise Boulevard.
2:28 p.m., Collision Non-Injury, Mariposa/Loleta. Several parked cars near Mariposa and Loleta avenues were reportedly side-swiped by a driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
4:24 p.m., Homeless Camp, A & A Stepping Stone on Auburn Blvd. Two homeless individuals had reportedly set up camp and were starting a fire in the rear of a commercial property on Auburn Boulevard. The caller was unsure if the fire was intended for warmth.
5:36 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, O’Reilly Auto Parts on Greenback Ln. A caller told police their white Ford Focus had been left overnight in a parking lot after the vehicle ran out of gas. Upon returning the following day, the vehicle was gone.
5:38 p.m., Assault, Greenback/Arcadia. Police were called by a parent after an unknown man reportedly swung at their daughter while she was riding a bike, hitting her across the chest and knocking her off the bicycle.
6:52 p.m., Brandishing Weapon, Dollar General on Auburn Blvd. A transient reportedly pulled out a folding pocket knife after being told to leave by an employee at Dollar General.
11:48 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Stones Casino. A caller told police that their parked vehicle had just been hit by another vehicle outside Stones Casino. The other driver was reportedly denying the collision occurred and “became verbal.”
