Volunteers are needed to participate in Rusch Park Family Volunteer Day Saturday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the park to get ready for the installation of new playground equipment.

Republic Services Charitable Foundation, Rebuilding Together-Sacramento, the City of Citrus Heights and the Sunrise Recreation and Parks District are co-sponsors for the event, which will have tasks for all skill levels. Lunch and t-shirts will be provided.
The new play structure will replace a former playground area nearest the covered picnic area and the community center, with closest access at 7801 Auburn Blvd.

The parks district will also be hosting a ribbon cutting for a new playground at Northwoods Park in Citrus Heights on Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. More details are available on the district’s Facebook page.
