Good Day Sacramento featured a Citrus Heights couple’s extravagant Halloween yard display in a video posted last week. Live flames and talking skeletons can be seen outside the home, located off Campfire Way. (See video)
Frost to hold online community meeting
Supervisor Sue Frost will hold a virtual community meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, Oct. 12. An email alert sent out to her constituents says the meeting will be held for residents to “hear what is happening in your community.” Those interested in attending are asked to email SupervisorFrost@saccounty.net to receive a Zoom meeting link.
Police chase travels through Citrus Heights
A vehicle pursuit that ran through Folsom, downtown Sacramento and Citrus Heights began around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when an officer tried to stop a van in the Rio Linda area, KCRA reported. The driver fled, and led officers of a chase through the region, finally ending in a WinCo parking lot in Antelope where the driver reportedly ran into the store. KCRA reported the man was taken into custody after police used a taser on the suspect. (See KCRA story)
Obituary: John Frederick Steinhart (1952-2021)
John Steinhart passed away last month in Citrus Heights at the age of 69, according to an obituary published on Oct. 9. He was known for sending unexpected cards to loved ones, bringing “a smile and sometimes a laugh.” He worked for many years as a purchasing agent in Cupertino after graduating from Bloomsburg University. He is survived by his ex-wife, family and friends. (See full obituary)
