The Citrus Heights Police Department will host a Safety Day event for kids at Rusch Park this Sunday, with the event giving kids an opportunity to check out emergency vehicles, get free helmets and learn how to call 9-1-1.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, according to an event posting by the department on Facebook. Kids will be able to participate in a bicycle rodeo, explore police and fire vehicles, play games and learn what to do in an emergency.
