Boise, where the court ruled that preventing individuals from sleeping in public when there is no alternative shelter violates the Eighth Amendment prohibiting cruel and unusual punishment.
Report of argument draws heavy police response near Holy Family Catholic Church
Four police SUV’s were observed partially blocking the roadway on Old Auburn Road on Wednesday night around 8 p.m., as officers responded to a report of a man and woman involved in an argument. Officers could be seen with flashlights talking with two individuals outside the Holy Family Community Center. Police Sgt. Joseph Aguilar said in an email Friday that no crime was committed and no arrests were made. He also confirmed there were no reports of weapons involved.
