Join us in the California State Capitol for a festive kick-off Celebration of Black History Month, featuring “A Taste of Africa.” Citrus Heights City Councilwomen Porsche Middleton will help expand our Sacramento regional appreciation of the contributions by people of African ancestry in the California Gold Rush era. Everyone is welcome to experience “A Taste of Africa” and begin the 170th Anniversary Year of Negro Bar, Negro Hill and other Gold Rush communities.
