New changes this year allow voters in Citrus Heights and Sacramento County to either vote by mail, drop off their ballot, or vote in-person at a vote center.
In Citrus Heights, voters can currently drop off their ballots at City Hall or the Rusch Park Community Center on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. City Hall also opened as a vote center on Oct. 27, and will continue to be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — including on weekends — through Nov. 5th. On Election Day, Nov. 6, the vote center at City Hall will have extended hours, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., as required by law.
According to Sacramento County’s Elections Department, the following additional locations in Citrus Heights will also open as vote centers on Nov. 3-6th:
- Citrus Heights Fellowship, 7405 Mariposa Ave.
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for Election Day, when hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sylvan Oaks Library, 6700 Auburn Blvd.
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 3-4, and 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Nov. 5. Election Day hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Additionally, registered voters can now vote at any vote center in Sacramento County. To see a complete list of vote centers, click here.
Those wishing to mail their ballots in are asked to place .71 cents postage and have it postmarked on or before Nov. 6, 2018. Ballots can also be dropped off at any vote center in Sacramento County.
