Sentinel staff report–
Sunrise Mall reopened at 11 a.m. Monday, following revised guidelines issued by Gov. Gavin Newsom last week.
The mall’s operations director told The Sentinel on Thursday that most stores that were open pre-pandemic have now reopened inside the mall, with the exception of eateries in the food court.
Stores inside the mall that have reopened include Claire’s, See’s Candies, Piercing Pagoda, Shoe Palace, Champs, Footlocker and others. No businesses in the food court area have reopened, but Subway and Chinese Gourmet Express have plans to reopen next week.
The Mall’s JC Penney and Macy’s stores had been open for in-store shopping prior to the reopening of the mall, as each business has its own entrance and was not affected by the mall closure.
According to an Aug. 28 post on the mall’s Facebook page, masks are required inside the mall. Hours are Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
