The Sylvan Ranch Community Garden in Citrus Heights has cancelled plans for its first-ever Winter Plant Sale this month.
Although signage outside the garden’s location had initially announced the sale for Oct. 2-3, organizer Debbie LeVon told The Sentinel last week that the sale has been cancelled due to things “not going as planned.”
She said a surge in home gardening during the pandemic prompted the garden to consider a winter sale, “but the plants did not cooperate with us.”
LeVon confirmed plans for the annual Spring Plant Sale the garden is known for hosting each year.
The all-organic community garden is located at the corner of Sylvan and Stock Ranch Roads, in Citrus Heights.
