Fire damages home in Citrus Heights, injures firefighter
KCRA 3 reported Friday that a fire fighter suffered a minor burn injury while responding to a house fire on San Juan Avenue. Video shows flames engulfing the garage, although an official said firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to an adjacent living space. (See KCRA video)

The San Juan Unified School District announced on social media last week that it is hiring for the position of principal at both Mesa Verde and San Juan high schools, along with a vice principal position at Katherine Johnson Middle School.
