Sentinel staff report–
Citrus Heights council members will meet at City Hall Thursday evening for a closed session regarding parcels on Sayonara Drive, along with holding a public hearing on police use of military equipment.
The council’s closed session will begin at 6:30 p.m. An agenda description states only that “price and terms of payment” will be under negotiation regarding properties at 7794-7804 Sayonara Drive, involving the city manager, city attorney and the Citrus Heights Water District.
The council’s regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at City Hall, with the following items listed on the agenda:
San Juan Avenue Complete Streets Project. An amendment to an existing contract with Bennett Engineering Services is proposed to be approved by the council. The contract, for engineering services, will increase the contract by about $137,000 to a total of $443,000, utilizing a combination of Measure A and Transportation Development Act funding. Street repaving. The council will consider approving a staff request to reject the only bid received for the 2022 Residential Street Resurfacing Project and give staff approval to re-advertise the project. A staff report says the only bid came it at 34% over the engineer’s estimate of $2.2 million for repaving on a portion of at least 17 streets.
