Bret Daniels, who was selected by his colleagues last month to serve a one-year term as mayor of Citrus Heights in 2024, announced this month that he will begin hosting weekly office hours at City Hall.
“Starting up, I’m going to be available at City Hall on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.,” said Daniels during comments at a Jan. 11 City Council meeting, labeling it “Mondays with the mayor.”
Daniels said residents are invited to “drop in and have a cup of coffee,” while also being invited to come in and “bark at me or whatever you want to do.”
The mayor said the weekly events are to be held on an ongoing basis, beginning Jan. 22, noting that “we’ll be there as long as City Hall is open.”
Daniels’ announcement about the new weekly events was commended by Councilwoman Jayna Karpinski-Costa, who called it a “good idea.”
Citrus Heights City Hall is located at 6300 Fountain Square Drive.
