Sentinel staff report–
The Residents’ Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights is set to host a “Celebrate Spring” potluck event, aiming to bolster community spirit.

The event will be held at the Citrus Heights Community Center on March 11, 2024, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., with residents invited to bring a dish to share. The evening will feature guest speaker Lorainne Carl, head of community engagement in Rancho Cordova, according to Park Oaks Neighborhood Area President Kallie Orr.

“We’re striving for live music, anticipating higher attendance, and featuring the Easter Bunny for a delightful touch,” Orr told The Sentinel in an email, sharing what will be new this year, compared to prior years’ potlucks.

The Citrus Heights Community Center is located at 6300 Fountain Square Drive. According to an event flier, seating is available for up to 300 attendees, with registration available online.

The Residents’ Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights (REACH) serves as the umbrella organization connecting the city’s 11 neighborhood areas. Unlike fee-based homeowner’s associations, the city’s various neighborhood associations have no required dues — and anyone residing, working, or owning property within the neighborhood’s boundaries is able to be involved in the association.
