A new business coalition has formed in Citrus Heights with a renewed mission to support and energize one of the city’s key commercial areas.
Spearheaded by Wendy Fuentes, owner of Wild and Fly Fitness on Auburn Boulevard, the new Citrus Heights Business Corridor Coalition is stepping forward as the successor to the former Auburn Boulevard Business Association, relaunching under new leadership with a focus on collaboration, advocacy, and innovation among local businesses.
Fuentes said its mission is to unite and empower businesses along Auburn Boulevard and working to improve the vitality of businesses in the area. Its vision centers on creating a vibrant boulevard filled with energy, opportunity, and community pride.
Fuentes approached the city to discuss the new idea in the beginning of the year, and she is continuing to work closely with the Economic Development Department and the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce to build a stronger business community and attract more customers to the area.
The group is currently forming its founding Board of Directors and is seeking volunteers and business owners who want to contribute to local revitalization efforts along the boulevard.
As part of its early efforts, the coalition is planning several community-focused activities, including a corridor-wide “We Are Open” campaign, community market days and art walks, business spotlights and networking mixers, as well as seasonal celebrations and holiday-themed events that showcase partnership and community spirit.
The first town hall meeting for the coalition is expected to take place in January 2026, with a specific date to be announced. Meetings will be hosted at Wild and Fly Fitness Studio, located at 8215 Auburn Boulevard, Suite B.
For more information, interested individuals can contact Wendy Fuentes through the Wild and Fly Fitness website. Contact information is listed at the bottom.
The coalition embraces the motto: “One Corridor. One Community. One Vision — Auburn Boulevard Alive Again,” reflecting its commitment to restoring the boulevard’s vitality and strengthening the local business landscape.
