Sentinel staff report–
The City of Citrus Heights will host its free, annual tree lighting this week.

The event will be held outside City Hall from 6-8:30 p.m., on Dec. 4. Festivities will feature train rides, a holiday sing-along, live music, hot cocoa and cookies, and pictures with Santa. Parking is available at City Hall, the Citrus Heights Event Center, the Dignity Health building, and the north parking lot of the Citrus Heights Police Station.

Past tree lightings have drawn thousands of people. This year marks the 29th tree lighting ceremony for the city.

City Hall is located at 6360 Fountain Square Drive.
