A two-vehicle collision on Sylvan Road left all southbound lanes blocked for a short time early Saturday morning.
Citrus Heights Police responded to a collision just after 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning to find two vehicles involved in a collision on Sylvan Road between Old Auburn Rd. and Greenback Lane.
While one driver appeared to be stuck in their vehicle according to reports from 911 callers, officials said no one was trapped in their vehicle, and no one sustained major injuries.
Police said one driver pulled out onto Sylvan Road and the second driver was not able to stop in time before hitting the first vehicle.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene and lanes were reopened. Authorities said the use of alcohol and drugs was not a factor in the collision and that all parties cooperated with police.
