Several houses and streets are decked out for the holiday season with bright lights, tall seasonal inflatables, and elaborate displays, some that even tell a story. Below is a list of must-see streets with houses lit up for the holidays throughout Citrus Heights, based on personal Sentinel staff visits and online videos shared of Christmas light displays.

Rollingwood Blvd: One home in particular, located on Rollingwood Boulevard between Evening Way and Evening Way illuminates the night with blue and white lights, multiple Christmas-themed inflatables on the roof and in the yard, and lit candy canes bordering the yard.

Watson Way: This home on Watson Way near Mariposa Avenue was listed in real estate agent Nicole Eib’s list of best Christmas lights to see in the Sacramento region, among seven houses and courts listed in Citrus Heights.

Karen Rae Court: Two homes in Karen Rae Court have officially won in this year’s Best Lights in Citrus Heights, an annual contest hosted by the city.

The lights on this home’s yard span an entire corner, and multiple inflatable holiday characters sit across the street from the property to greet drivers passing by.

Oorelle Creek Court: Each year the majority of homes on Orelle Creek Court are decked out in Christmas lights and elaborate character displays. The court welcomes both drivers and pedestrians and often groups of neighbors offer popcorn and hot cocoa to passersby, raising money to help burn victims at UC Davis. The winter displays full of snowmen, Santa Claus, a nativity scene, and even a Star Wars-themed winter display, never disappoint. You’ll find the court just around the corner from a multi-story towering evergreen decorated with strings of blue lights.

Glen Canyon Court: Several homes along this court have put on dazzling displays of lights this Christmas season, including winter and Christmas character inflatables, and trees wrapped in lights.

Glen Alta Way: A video posted to a local Citrus Heights group on social media shows a bright and colorful display of lights at a home on Glen Alta Way in Citrus Heights. Neighbors have invited the community out to walk by and enjoy the display, according to the post. The home on Glen Alta Way was also nominated during this year’s Best Lights in Citrus Heights contest.

Farmgate Way: A handful of houses have been decorated for the holidays with lights and inflatables on Farmgate Way, including a home near Mariposa Avenue that shines through the dark every year, along with an intricate wooden life-size nativity display.
