An informational meeting regarding the Gateway Activation Project, which seeks to improve multi-modal transportation between Citrus Heights and Roseville trails, is slated to be hosted by the City of Citrus Heights in March.
The purpose of the meeting is intended to update community members about the Gateway Activation Project, and city staff will be on hand to highlight planned multi-modal improvements along Old Auburn Road and Wachtel Way and provide an update on the project’s progress.
At the meeting, the project team will share latest updates, explain the environmental review process and answer questions from the community.
The objective of the Gateway Activation Project involves extending multi-model forms of transportation from the terminus of the Arcade-Cripple Creek trail to the intersection of Old Auburn Road, and from the Old Auburn Road multi-use trail to the city’s northern border with the City of Roseville. The contract indicates potential for roundabouts or traffic signals at two existing all-way stop intersections in the area.
The community meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Big Oak Mobile Home Park, located at 8300 Old Auburn Rd. in Citrus Heights. Those interested in attending can register for the event on the city’s Eventbrite page.
More information about the Gateway Activation Project can also be found on the City’s website. Visit the Gateway Activation Project webpage for updates.
