High-ranking Citrus Heights employee arraigned on DUI charge

Sentinel staff report–
A key city employee with the City of Citrus Heights was arraigned in court last week on a charge stemming from an arrest over the holiday season for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

Arrest records confirm that Meghan Huber, Economic Development and Community Engagement Director for the City of Citrus Heights, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on Nov. 26, 2025, under suspicion of DUI. Her bail was set at $1,000.

Online court records show an arraignment was held for Huber on Feb. 17 where she retained legal counsel. The Sacramento County District Attorney’s office said Friday that a plea was not entered during her arraignment hearing. Further proceedings are scheduled for May 14.

An opportunity for comment was emailed to Huber on Friday and was referred to her attorney, Dan Olsen of Abrate and Olsen Law Group. In a brief statement released Saturday, Olsen said: “We have no comment on the facts of the case. The only thing I can add is that she was not at work or leaving a work event.”

In a statement via email on Feb. 13, City Manager Ash Feeney said the city is aware of the arrest but said, “We do not comment on ongoing personal matters.”

A court date was originally scheduled for Dec. 1, 2025, but a Sacramento County Superior Court representative told The Sentinel the original hearing had been postponed, and that postponements of hearings can occur for a variety of reasons. The representative did not have any information specific to the individual arrest.

According to arrest record details, Huber was arrested by the California Highway Patrol, Sacramento North area.
