Residents are invited to bring a favorite dish and gather with neighbors next Monday as the Resident Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights, or REACH, hosts its annual community-wide potluck dinner aimed at fostering connection.

The event, titled “A Zest for Community: Citrus Heights Potluck Dinner,” will take place March 9, and feature food, live music, games, prizes and an opportunity to meet city leaders in a relaxed setting.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner beginning at 6 p.m. A raffle is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share and enjoy an evening of laughter, conversation and community building.

Special guest presenters will include Sen. Angelique Ashby and Big Day of Service leader Brad Squires.

Highlights of the event will include gift basket raffles, door prizes, an awards ceremony and live entertainment by the Mesa Verde Combo Band. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a meet-and-greet with City Council members and other community leaders.

Organizers describe the potluck as a laid-back opportunity for residents to connect with one another while celebrating what makes Citrus Heights unique.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP in advance online.

The Citrus Heights Event Center is located at 6300 Fountain Square Drive.
