Lawsuit: Citrus Heights-based contractor sues midtown brewhouse
The Sacramento Bee reported on Friday that Yergler Construction, a Citrus Heights based company, is suing the owners of Sacramento’s Burgers & Brews restaurant for more than $1 million. The suit alleges the brewhouse owners left the construction company with a $1.24 million discrepancy after a contract with the company was terminated. According to the news report, the construction company alleges that numerous change orders delayed the project more than a year and increased costs, but the owners of the brewhouse say Yergler didn’t communicate adequately and also repeatedly bought wrong materials — including an elevator that allegedly didn’t fit. Biz Journal: Bearpaw grows its presence locally and abroad
The Sacramento Business Journal published an in-depth article on Bearpaw Holdings LLC, the Citrus Heights-based company which owns Bearpaw and also recently acquired Flip Flop Shops LLC. The story includes a summary of other projects Bearpaw is invested in, including a 42-townhome project at Sylvan Corners, as well as a recent acquisition of Thermus Mechanical, a commercial HVAC and refrigeration services company. The article also said companies owned by Bearpaw Holdings reportedly bring in total revenue of over $150 million, according to figures released by Bearpaw founder Tom Romeo.
