The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019. Links to additional bulletins are also included below.
Wednesday, January 2, 2019: Total of 56 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 22 calls regarding suspicious activities, 13 disturbance-related, 9 homeless/transient-related, 2 grand thefts, 5 petty thefts, 1 burglary, 1 assault report, 3 collisions, 1 stolen vehicle, and no reports of domestic violence.
12:03 a.m., Petty Theft, Walgreens at Greenback/Dewey. A man reportedly grabbed $300 worth of prescription insulin from a counter and ran off without paying.
12:47 a.m., Assault, North Colony Wy. A woman who had been drinking reportedly hit an Uber driver twice in the face. The incident occurred on a dead-end street near Twin Oaks Avenue and Holly Drive.
9:15 a.m., Petty Theft, Misty Wood Wy. A resident let several people stay overnight, but sometime during the night the guests reportedly made off with a big-screen TV.
12:15 p.m., Grand Theft, T-Mobile on Greenback Lane. Several demo phones were reported stolen from a T-Mobile store on Greenback Lane.
12:19 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Dollar General on Auburn Blvd. A man was reportedly “using a golf club to hit trash into traffic” on Auburn Boulevard near Greenback Lane.
2:06 p.m., Burglary, Silver Hands Massage on Antelope Rd. Police were notified that an unknown suspect had unsuccessfully tried to “remove” the rear door of a massage establishment, but no entry was made.
2:12 p.m., Homeless Camp, Costco on Auburn Blvd. A homeless camp with multiple tents was reported near a creek behind Costco, with homeless individuals “living inside the bushes and trees.”
2:36 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Golden One Credit Union on Sunrise Blvd. Police were notified that a woman was inside the bank trying to cash a stolen check.
4:51 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Raley’s on Lichen Drive. A transient man was allegedly “trying to fight security and customers” outside the Raley’s grocery store on Lichen Drive. He was also making threats and yelling.
8:44 p.m., Petty Theft, Starbucks on Sunrise Blvd. Two suspects reportedly stole a tip jar from the Starbucks location inside Barnes & Noble on Sunrise Boulevard.
9:05 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Antelope/Auburn. A caller told police that an unknown male came up to him at an intersection and started yelling and tried to fight him.
