Sentinel staff report–
The City of Citrus Heights is advising drivers to avoid a section of Greenback Lane on Jan. 18, as crews perform emergency road repairs.
Significant delays are expected on eastbound Greenback Lane, between Indian River Drive and Garfield Avenue, near Interstate 80. Only one lane will be open, during the time of the repairs, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Drivers are recommended to utilize the nearest I-80 exits at Antelope Road or Auburn Boulevard instead.
The city posted an advisory about the scheduled work on Friday, noting that repairs were planned to take place during the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, when lower traffic is anticipated. A specific description of the work to be performed was not included in the city’s announcement.
