February 14, 2021
By Mike Hazlip—
Traffic was backed up at Greenback Lane and Fair Oaks Boulevard Friday afternoon as crews worked to replace a damaged traffic signal control box.
The equipment was struck by a vehicle, according to crews working to restore traffic light function. Temporary stop signs could be seen between lanes of traffic in all directions of the intersection.
The City of Citrus Heights posted a reminder on social media asking drivers to treat the intersection as a four-way stop until repairs are completed. As of 1 p.m., the city said repairs were expected to take 5-6 hours.
