‘Howl-o-Ween’ parade scheduled for Oct. 16 in Citrus Heights

The Citrus Heights Community Marching Band is planning a pet-themed “Howl-o-Ween” parade and harvest festival for Saturday, October 16.

The parade is slated to start at 9 a.m. at Auburn Boulevard and Twin Oaks and continue to Rusch Park, according to information released by the organization’s event manager, Sarah Schmelzer. A harvest festival will follow, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rusch Park.

The event is scheduled to feature pet adoptions, craft fair vendors, food, and live performances. The Citrus Heights Police Activities League is also slated to participate by hosting a car show at Rusch Park.

Registration for parade entries and vendor booths closes Thursday, Oct. 14, according to Schmelzer.
