Citrus Heights council members will meet Thursday night beginning with a special study session at 6 p.m. to discuss future development on Sayonara Drive, followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m.
Presentation. A proclamation will be issued to officially recognize March 2022 as Red Cross Month.
Repaving. The council will consider formally accepting the completion of the city’s 2021 Residential Street Resurfacing Project, which resurfaced 18 streets for a cost of $1.6 million. The project was performed by Goodfellow Bros. CA, LLC, and was completed for around $200,000 under budget.
Police Benefits. Council members will consider approving a recommendation from the city’s police chief to approve the addition of an education incentive of up to 5% for the recently created positions of Police Services Supervisor and Police Services Manager. A staff report says the positions were created during “reorganization efforts,” with a total annual cost estimated at up to $14,719.
Strategic Planning Objectives Update. The council will hear an update from City Manager Ashley Feeney regarding the city’s six-month strategic planning objectives. The city had initially planned its first planning session of 2022 to be on March 1, but this was rescheduled to May 10 at 8:30 a.m.
Public Hearing. A third hearing will be held on the city’s redistricting process, to determine the map lines for the city’s five council districts. A presentation will be heard from the city’s demographic consultant, followed by a hearing to review draft maps and receive public input.
Annual Crime Report. The Police Department is slated to give its annual report for 2021 at the conclusion of the meeting, which typically includes crime statistics, comparison trend data, and various highlights.
