Citrus Heights restaurant owner expands ‘ghost kitchen’ to Carmichael
The owner of Yalla Yalla Bakery in Citrus Heights is expanding his “for rent” commercial kitchen concept to a 4,500-square-foot space at 5800 Madison Ave. The “ghost kitchen” concept “allows someone who wants to try a food business but can’t afford to open a restaurant,” Owner Alan Liddawi told The Sacramento Business Journal. City celebrating 25 years
New banners are visible on the city’s website, as Citrus Heights celebrates its milestone of 25 years. The city incorporated in 1997, after a long legal and ballot box battle to break off from being an unincorporated part of Sacramento County.
Obituary: Motoko Price (1931-2022)
Citrus Heights resident Motoko Price passed away on April 25 at the age of 90, according to an obituary published Sunday in The Sacramento Bee. Price was born in Tokyo, Japan and became an accredited instructor in Japanese flower arranging and design, along with teaching the art of Bonsai and becoming an expert seamstress. She later raised four children with her husband in Sacramento. She leaves behind her children, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. (see full obituary)
