Sentinel staff report– The Citrus Heights Police Department on Tuesday released a photo of a suspect being sought in connection with a Sunday morning stabbing incident on Auburn Boulevard that hospitalized three people.
In a news release on Sunday, police said two teens and one adult had been stabbed multiple times and were being treated at an area hospital. Authorities said the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on May 15, outside a business on the 6100 block of Auburn Boulevard, located near Greenback Lane.
Police said a preliminary investigation shows the altercation “occurred following what appears to have been an argument between parties.” As of Sunday afternoon, investigators were still getting witness statements and collecting evidence, creating an extended closure of eastbound Auburn Boulevard at Greenback Lane.
On Tuesday, police posted a social media update with a photo of the suspect involved in the stabbing. The image appears to have been taken from surveillance video inside a store and shows a man in a hoodie with a close-trimmed beard and short, dark hair.
Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call the Police Department at (916) 727-5524, or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP.
