By Mike Hazlip—
A Roseville man was arrested Wednesday on 12 counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, according to a police news release published Thursday.

A Citrus Heights police investigation dating back to November 2022, led authorities to 61-year-old Roseville resident Ricky Allen Vaughn. During the investigation, police identified “multiple juveniles” who were victims. The victims range in ages from six to 13 over the last 25 years, police said.

Sacramento County jail records show Vaughn is facing charges of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, lewd acts on a child under 14 using force or duress, and possession of obscene material depicting a person under 18. He is ineligible for bail.

Police said there could be additional unreported victims, and are encouraging anyone with information related to the case to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department’s crime tip line at (916) 727-5524.
