Sentinel staff report–
The Citrus Heights City Council is inviting community members to an upcoming workshop to share input on the potential lifting of a current ban on cannabis retail operations within the city.
The Cannabis Dispensary Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Citrus Heights City Hall, located at 6360 Fountain Square Drive. According to a post on the city’s website, the workshop aims to engage residents and stakeholders in a comprehensive dialogue about the future of cannabis retail in Citrus Heights.
City staff will lead a short presentation, laying the groundwork for an informed discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to voice their feedback, which will be considered in future council deliberations, the city says.
Community feedback can also be shared via a form on the city’s cannabis ordinance webpage, with feedback welcomed until April 5, at 5 p.m.
More information is posted on the city’s website, along with results from a recent city survey on cannabis policy. The survey shows residents are split on whether to allow cannabis dispensaries or not.
