Citrus Heights police responded to reports of a theft at Macy’s Men’s in the Sunrise Mall last weekend, with residents reporting a heavy police presence near the scene.
Police said the incident occurred around 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, turning from theft into a “strong arm robbery,” although no weapons were involved. The suspects fled the scene and officers set up a perimeter, police told The Sentinel on Wednesday.
Officials confirmed that a police helicopter was dispatched to aid in the search for the suspects, but officers were unable to locate the suspects involved.
