Latest Citrus Heights Police logs show a drop in overall incidents, including animal control calls, vehicle violations and vandalism — with upticks reported in 911 hangups, code enforcement, homeless-related calls, thefts and other incidents.

Animal control: 2 (down from 5)
911 hangups: 31 (up from 23)
Code enforcement: 45 (up from 24)
Traffic accidents: 46 (up from 38)
Vehicle violations: 234 (down from 363)
Theft: 39 (up from 34)
Homeless-related: 14 (up from 13)
Vandalism: 9 (down from 11)
Violent/threats: 36 (down from 41)
Disturbance: 115 (up from 86)
Suspicious circumstances: 189 (down from 190)
All incidents: 1,219 (down from 1,387)

The Citrus Heights Police Department notes that its logs “are not intended as a full and complete list of all police activity,” with some information not displayed for legal reasons, such as arrests of minors. The department notes on its website that: “All arrested suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty. Additionally, the original crimes, nature of offenses, and charges may be amended or dismissed as further information is made available.”
