The Citrus Heights Homeless Assistance Resource Team is hosting its annual Spaghetti Fest fundraising event this October. The event will include a spaghetti dinner, live entertainment, raffle prizes, and more.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24 at the Citrus Heights Event Center from 5 to 9 p.m. In past years, tickets have sold out quickly.
The Spaghetti fest is designed to bring the community together in support of individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in Citrus Heights. One of Citrus Heights HART’s top annual fundraisers, this annual event raises critical funds to support local programs that offer rental assistance, emergency services, and paths to long-term stability for those in need.
Proceeds from the Spaghetti Fest go directly toward vital programs such as, the annual Winter Sanctuary, and rental assistance program, and city navigator support.
The annual winter shelter provides unhoused individuals with warm meals, overnight shelter, and other medical, addiction, and mental health support, for seven weeks throughout the winter.
Through its rental assistance program, the nonprofit is able to offer emergency housing support and was able to help 20 households over the last 12 months with emergency rental payment assistance, which prevented families from becoming homeless.
City Navigators help connect unhoused individuals with vital resources, such as medical, financial, mental health, and other basic supports in order to help them regain stability and independence.
Guests will enjoy a spaghetti dinner, live entertainment, raffles, and community awards given out to individuals who have made an impact. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the Citrus Heights HART spaghetti fest fundraiser event page.
Business owners can also sponsor tables, and residents and businesses can purchase an entire table, as well as donate raffle and auction items and contribute desserts.
Since its founding in 2016, Citrus Heights HART has been committed to helping vulnerable populations in the community, including low-income students, struggling families, and individuals facing housing insecurity. As a volunteer-run nonprofit organization, HART relies on community support to power its mission.
