Sidewalks, vs $1.47M design contract
Over 20 years ago, the city spent much time and money on what was called “Walk-a-bility’ study’s. Then nothing was done about it. Sidewalks are terrible with more potholes than the streets. Tree roots that lift sections of the sidewalks make walking dangerous. I have found this to be true all over the city. Dangerous for walkers. More dangerous if you use a cane. And almost impossible for people in wheelchairs. Now once again we are scotch taping the streets together, but nothing for the sidewalks. So much for all the walking studies.

Gateway arch is a waste of money
I’m more than positive that tax dollars being spent could be used to fix up the actual road ways in other parts of Citrus Heights. Putting an arch in this part of CH where there has been reduced business foot traffic because no company wants to actually stay in that part of CH is a waste of money. Trying to beautify a location that no business wants to be in seems futile.
