Citrus Heights Police have arrested three juveniles Tuesday evening on suspicion of committing arson following a dispute between the arrested individuals and another juvenile.
Just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Citrus Heights Police responded to reports of a house on fire in a neighborhood near Antelope Road and Tupelo Drive. Upon arrival to the home, officers learned that the fire was suspected to have been started by juveniles, and that a dispute had taken place between a juvenile at the residence of the home on fire, and an unknown number of other juveniles not at the scene at the time.
Police confirmed that, following the dispute, some of the residents left the home, and the suspects allegedly returned to the home and ignited a fire at the house using fireworks. Only one family member, who remained home at the time the fire began, was able to contact 911.
Police were able to track down the location of the remaining juveniles involved in the dispute and after confirming their identities with the victims of the housefire, three juveniles were arrested on suspicion of causing the fire at the home.
The identities of the juveniles are not being released due to their age, per department policy.
