Three out of five townhomes were damaged late Thursday night after one unit caught fire on Ventana Place, near Fair Oaks Boulevard and Madison Avenue in Citrus Heights.
Sacramento Metro Fire District crews responded to reports of a fire at a two-story townhome located on Ventana Place around 10:30 p.m. Thursday evening. In a statement, Metro Fire Captain Mark Nunez said three two-story townhomes out of the five that were part of one building, were damaged by either fire or water.
“The main fire townhome sustained significant damage requiring extensive overhaul,” Nunez said.
In videos shared by Metro Fire, flames can be seen shooting through the roof of a two-story townhome, with multiple two-story townhomes with balconies directly adjacent on either side.
Ventana Place is located off Madison Avenue in close proximity to the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and the Almond Grove shopping center.
There were no reports of injuries to residents or firefighters, officials said. The fire is still under investigation.
