Another business has shuttered in a small shopping complex in Citrus Heights, following the closure of a family-run thrift store just over a year ago.
A small Asian grocer located at the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road appears to have cleared out its entire store as of Friday, with only two walls of empty refrigerators remaining inside. The grocer, Rangoon Market, opened in March of 2023 and requested an alcohol license later in March of 2025.
The market sold an assortment of Asian and American foods and goods and maintained a 4.7-star rating on Yelp. It’s unclear when the store officially shuttered, but Yelp lists the store as closed as of September 2026, and Google Maps shows the location as “permanently closed.”
Located in the same shopping center, a family run thrift store called The Family Outpost closed roughly one year ago, after having opened in August 2024. The suite which once housed the thrift store is still vacant.
The corner shopping center is anchored by SAFE Credit Union, and also includes a donut shop, a barber, laundry mat, The Human Bean, and other small shops.
