Sunday Funday to return this September
The City of Citrus Heights has begun promotional efforts for the return of Sunday Funday at Rusch Park on Sept 25. The event will feature food trucks, inflatables, kids activities, tours of the historic Rusch Home, and live music. (Read more)

Police arrest 20-year-old who vandalized Amazon truck
KCRA and other outlets report that a 20-year-old man was arrested by Citrus Heights police on Thursday after he allegedly smashed the front windshield of an Amazon delivery truck. The incident reportedly occurred on Woodglade Avenue, near Antelope and Roseville roads. (See story)

Obituary: Elizabeth McMichael (1932-2022)
Citrus Heights resident Elizabeth “Liz” McMichael passed away on May 14 at the age of 89, according to an obituary published last week in The Sacramento Bee. She grew up in California and earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from University of Redlands, followed by a masters’ degree in counseling from Syracuse University in New York. McMichael later returned to California in 1965 and began a counseling career in the Folsom Cordova school district. She also served as a choir director at First Baptist Church of Carmichael for 23 years. She is survived by two great-nieces. (See full obituary)
