This is never ending. There’s always something or some reason to raise our rates. Last time it was the meters that needed to be installed. And now it’s the aging pipes that need to be replaced. I’m all for these reasons, but have they ever looked at mergers to save money? No, because it takes away from the top bosses jobs which are at the top end of the pay scale.
How many water districts are there in Sacramento County. (20+). Look it up for yourself, you’d be amazed at the number of water districts there are. It’s time to merge water districts for the needs of the citizens of Sacramento County. Not only would it save money, but it would cut down on the bureaucracy. They’ve done it with fire districts, now let’s do it with water districts. Let’s get with it LAFCO!
