The City of Citrus Heights has released a four-page holiday shopping and gift giving guide that highlights multiple businesses throughout the city.
The guide highlights a range of businesses and gift ideas available within the city and organizes them into general categories such as dining, retail gifts, home items, and experience-based options.
The guide includes a selection of Citrus Heights restaurants that may be considered for hosting family members or visitors during the holidays or for purchasing dining-related gifts. Restaurants listed in the guide include Hibachi Buffet, Caravan Uzbek Cuisine, Rock Hard Burgers and Brew, Sammy’s Restaurant & Bar, Kely’s Crepes and Burgers, LaSam Pho, Greenhouse Café, and El Tapatio.
For traditional gift purchases, the guide points to several retail and service-based options in the city. These include coffee or matcha gift cards from Java Cherry, fitness-related gear from Club Studio, nail salon gift cards, water bottles available from Miller Ace Hardware, and jewelry from Kenny G and Company Fine Jewelers. These items are presented as examples of gifts that can be purchased from local businesses.
The holiday shopping guide also highlights items intended for home use and seasonal gifting. Suggested retailers include Half Price Books and Barnes & Noble for books, along with national retailers located in Citrus Heights such as Target, Home Goods, and Marshalls for home goods. Additional listings include Bath and Body Works, See’s Candies, and general gift items such as throw blankets, mugs, and candles.
In addition to physical products, the guide includes experience-based gift ideas and recreational activities available locally. Examples include workout sessions at Wild and Fly Fitness, kayaks from Kayak City, bicycles from Elite Bicycles, smash room experiences from Smash Sacramento, fishing gear from Fly Fishing Specialties, and roller blades available at Big 5 Sporting Goods.
Absent from the guide are newly opened sit-down restaurants such as Must Be Cow, several national retailers such as Ulta, Best Buy, JCPenney, and World Market, and several businesses within the Sunrise Mall, such as Perfumes Luxe, Shoe Palace, Image, Lids, and Famous Footwear.
In recent a newsletter which included the holiday shopping guide, the city emphasized small businesses are “the heart of Citrus Heights,” adding that small businesses create jobs, strengthen the local economy and “bring character and connection to our community.”
“This holiday season, choosing to shop local is one of the easiest ways to support the entrepreneurs who help make Citrus Heights a great place to live,” the city stated.
