A gas station formerly owned by a local businessman and his family is closed while undergoing a remodel.
On a visit to the former Pastor’s Valero gas station at the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road on Friday, gas pumps. along with the convenience store’s entrance, could be seen closed and fenced off from the public. In a message online, Randy Pastor’s daughter, Holly Woltzen, confirmed that the gas station is undergoing construction.
Woltzen and her husband still operate the auto care center and report that three former Pastor’s Valero employees were able to continue working when the business was sold. Woltzen is not certain if all three of her former employees still remain, but said that current employees of the gas station are working at other locations while the station undergoes a remodel.
After being owned by the Pastor family for 50 years, the former Pastor’s Valero was sold to ARCO, with business up and running as of Aug. 8, 2025. By Aug. 9, multiple drivers filled the gas station pumps once again.
The gas station will be closed for several weeks.
