Shop owner Christina Truong celebrated a ribbon cutting for her new nails and spa location in Citrus Heights on Saturday, Feb. 7, to an enthusiastic crowd of family, friends, and community members.
Gateway Nails and Spa is one of three new businesses opening in a building adjacent to Starbucks in the Copperwood Square shopping center on Sunrise Boulevard. A family friend of Truong, who said the owner operated in the Folsom area previously, relayed that the store held its soft opening beginning on Monday, Feb. 2, before celebrating its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on Saturday.
The celebration included cultural dragon dancers and drummers, along with a dramatic display of firecrackers before Truong and family and friends came together for the ribbon cutting.
The new business was also honored with three certificates, one from the mayor of Citrus Heights, one from Assemblymember Josh Hoover’s office, and the last from Sacramento Supervisor Rosario Rodriguez’s office.
Truong expressed her gratitude for the support of everyone who came out to celebrate and thanked everyone for their support.
Gateway Nails and Spa is the first of two businesses to open, all right beside each other. Signage for BAD Bakers could be seen on one side of the nails and spa, and a sign saying “Coming Soon” could be seen on the other side beneath an incoming O Tasty Mongolian Barbecue restaurant.
Gateway Nails and Spa is located at 7056 Sunrise Blvd, Suite C.
