A new luxury nail and beauty lounge is expected to open this summer. at the Marketplace at Birdcage, the salon’s owner says.
Rose Nail Lounge, which is currently undergoing construction and build-out, will take over the space previously occupied by a specialty brew coffee shop.
“We are excited to bring a luxury nail and beauty experience to the community.” Rose Nail Lounge owner Vinh Nguyen said in an email.
With a focus on providing a luxurious experience, the salon will offer a range of services, from manicures and pedicures to rejuvenating beauty treatments, all designed to leave clients feeling pampered and refreshed.
The space is being designed to create an upscale, tranquil atmosphere where guests can escape the demands of daily life and indulge in a moment of self-care, Nguyen said, adding that the lounge hopes to create a welcoming environment.
On Thursday, workers were on site completing trenches for piping that will run beneath the floor.
While the owners are targeting mid-July for the opening, Nguyen said the timeline may shift slightly depending on the progress of the construction and necessary inspections. Updates on the opening will be shared as opening day approaches.
Previously, the space was home to Black Sails Coffee Lounge, an independent brewing coffee company that operated as a tenant on a temporary lease from July 2025 through most of December.
While relocating, customers can still purchase the company’s signature locally roasted coffee beans on their website.
While the ownership was offered alternative locations within the center, one of the coffee shop’s managers said the proposed spaces were significantly smaller and wouldn’t meet the needs of the coffee company or its customers. The owner of Black Sails did not return a request for comment.
Black Sails Coffee Lounge is moving to another location in Sacramento County and has posted updates on their company’s social media pages.
Rose Nail Lounge will join several new nail salons that have opened or are planning to open in Citrus Heights, including Gateway Nails and Spa, which recently opened in the Copperwood Square shopping center, and My Salon Suite, and Luxury Nail Spa, which both plan to open this spring in the Sunrise Village Shopping Center.
Rose Nail Lounge will be located at 5925 Birdcage Centre Ln.
