75-year-old Lorraine Hampton is now being reunited with her family, according to a media release by the Citrus Heights Police Department, updated at 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police issued an alert online at midnight, Oct. 8, seeking the public’s assistance in locating Hampton, who was last seen at 6:41 p.m. Wednesday evening in the 7900 block of Rocky Point Court. Family alerted police when she did not return home for an extended length of time.

Police canvased much of Sunrise Boulevard from Rocky Point Court in the area of Kingswood Drive, north toward Sunrise Mall, as well as south on Sunrise and east and west on Greenback Lane, during the late evening hours. Air support was also called in to assist.

According to the department, Hampton was wearing a dark-colored shirt and gray flowy pants. She has black hair with gray dreadlocks worn in a ponytail, brown eyes and a distinctive dark-colored mole near her eye.
