Business is down by about 50% for a Citrus Heights taqueria, and a salon at Sylvan Corners has shifted operations outdoors rather than shut down completely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Citrus Heights this month began seeking qualified developers to submit offers for purchasing and developing the 11.3-acre former Sylvan Middle School property at Sylvan Corners. Offers will be received for 120 days, through Oct. 5.

Organizers said a last-minute issue caused plans for a drive-in movie showing in the Sunrise Mall parking lot on Friday to be postponed until next week, where the venue will also change locations.
