Two local companies with headquarters in Citrus Heights are among the top 25 fastest-growing businesses in the region, according to a list compiled by a regional business journal. SearchPros Staffing and Retail Radio, Inc., both multi-million dollar fast-growing companies, made it to the 9th and 22nd spots on the list released earlier this month.
The Sacramento Business Journal, an area publication focusing on business-related topics, compiled its 2017 list of the fastest-growing companies throughout the Sacramento, Yolo, El Dorado, and Placer counties, including any company that posted at least $200,000 in revenue and which also submitted documentation for The Journal and an independent accounting firm to review.
SearchPros Staffing LLC, which ranked 9th and had a growth rate of 164% between 2014 and 2016, is located in the shaded Arden Creek Office Park at 6363 Auburn Blvd., between Greenback and Van Maren lanes. According to SearchPros website, the company works “to quickly and effectively match the right employees with the right job opportunities” and collected an impressive revenue of just over $36 million in 2016.
Myla Ramos is the CEO and President of the staffing company, which services the majority of the United States and several other countries, including China, Australia, and India. Current SearchPros clients include the Department of Defense, the United States Department of Agriculture, SMUD, Boeing, and Safe Credit Union.
According to The Journal, Ramos immigrated from the Philippines and co-founded the company with Rayna Pearson and Heather Kocina in 2005. Ramos was later selected as a finalist for the 2016 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Retail Radio Inc., which placed 22nd on the list of fastest growing companies in the region, had a growth rate of 75% from 2014 to 2016 and reported revenue of $9.5 million dollars last year. The company headquarters is located just off Sunrise Boulevard at 7921 Kingswood Dr., with another office located in El Dorado Hills.
Retail Radio is an in-store music provider and helps its clients “design your own radio station, featuring music from big-name recording artists and professionally produced commercials that feature your business,” according to the company’s website.
Bill Louie, CEO of Retail Radio, founded the startup in 2006 along with two other business partners. In 2013, The Journal reported Retail Radio “more than doubled its Citrus Heights office to 3,500 square feet.”
Several attempts were made to contact CEO’s of both SearchPros and Retail Radio, but messages left by The Sentinel were not returned.
