A portion of the shopping center on the southeast corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Antelope Road has been sold to a Sacramento real estate investor, according to the Sacramento Business Journal.
The $5.5 million purchase was made by Ethan Conrad Properties, Inc., and includes about 37,500 square feet of retail in the shopping center, the Journal reported on Thursday. The sale did not include the California Fitness building, which is on a separately owned parcel, but includes retail flanking both sides of the fitness center.
The shopping center, known as Sunray Plaza at 7700 Sunrise Blvd., is currently home to Round Table Pizza, H&R Block, Byers Gymnastics, China House restaurant and several salons. According to a new leasing brochure already posted on LoopNet by Conrad Properties, there are a total of seven vacancies, ranging in size from 1,350-4,850 square feet and leasing at $0.75 cents to $1.35 per square foot.
The Journal said Conrad is planning to remodel interiors and exteriors at the plaza.
Leatherby’s Family Creamery, Burger King, and Taco Bell are also located in the plaza, but are on separate parcels not included in the sale.
Ethan Conrad Properties is a Sacramento-based company that was founded in 1995 by Ethan Conrad. The company now owns and manages over 100 commercial properties, including several shopping centers on Greenback Lane and an office complex on the 6900 block on Sunrise Boulevard.
